Comments: Ken and his team did a fantastic job in my basement. He was on time throughout and even came over the night before the job to go over details with me since I would not be home when the work was done. He gave me several options and even some DIY tips. In the end, we went with an option that did not make him the most money but was the right choice for me. I hope you don’t have a need for like I did but if you do I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Dry!

Comments: I needed a interior french drain in crawlspace, a bunch of debris and dirt removed and the basement totally waterproofed with a high quality liner, plus a few other things that normally Ken doesn’t do but he did it anyway. So, if you have a water intrusion problem in your basement then Ken of Dr. Dry is who you want to call. I had 3 other estimates done and he is the only one I would recommend. He is honest, always on time, keeps you informed of the progress and goes above and beyond in correcting the problem. Another words, he does those little extra things that other companies will charge you for in the sense he treats your home like he is working on his own, and he saved me money ! Watch out for the company on the Home Advisor list where the guy looking at your problem tells you he is the best sales person and offers you a discount if you sign up with them in the next few days. That is a sales tactic. Also, never put down more than 10 % ! , they want 30 % ! Unbelievable ! I am not going to say directly who this company is but hopefully with those couple of clues you can figure it out. Anyway, upon hiring Ken of Dr. Dry he was actually the first contractor where I didn’t feel like I had to constantly check up on the task at hand. What more could you ask for ? With Dr. Dry – you get Peace of Mind and a few extra dollars in you pocket ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

He put a lot of thought into solving my specific problem, and proposed a drain and sump pump system that addressed my situation, without any up-selling and without any pressure. I was worried about the mess he might make gaining access through my newly finished basement, but his people took extra precautions to make sure there would be no impact. Comments: Bottom Line: Ken is as honest as they come. He saved me thousands of dollars (perhaps tens of thousands) by not up selling add-on products and services. He finished the job on time and on budget. Details: I solicited four bids for fixing some mild to moderate heaving in our unfinished basement. As I explained to all the bidders, the problem was more of an annoyance than a must fix. In fact, we had independent assessments from two structural engineering firms at the time of purchase who both said there was no cause for alarm. As expected, two companies came back with bids recommending drastic repairs and preventive measures that cost tens of thousands of dollars. The salesmen were polished in their presentations and were obviously trained in the art of sales, but had never done this kind of labor themselves. The other two bids, from smaller/independent operators, were much more reasonable and in line with what the structural engineers recommended. Ken impressed me right off the bat when he said, “if this were my house, I would just leave it as it is”. My conversations with him were rational and relaxed. We talked about several different options. At no time did I feel and pressure. Ultimately, this is why we chose to go with Ken. Ken was able to start the job within a couple weeks. He estimated that the job (removal of basement concrete floor and installation of a new floor and sump pump) would take four days. There were some unanticipated hurdles getting day laborers to carry concrete from the basement to the truck, so Ken and Rudy worked longer hours to stay on time. They kept me informed every morning and afternoon. Again, their honesty was refreshing. The job was definitely more difficult than they expected, but they never wavered in their commitment. The concrete was poured on the third day and clean up done on the fourth day. Ken was responsive to minor requests, such as moving the sump pump discharge line a few feet, and insisted he would not be happy unless we were happy. All in all, the job was a success! I would definitely recommend Ken and Rudy to my friends and family.
